Welcome to the School of Byzantine Ecclesiastical Music

The School of Byzantine Ecclesiastical Music was established in 2017 under the auspices of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Canada –Ecumenical Patriarchate, to teach and promote Byzantine ecclesiastical music to those who wish to serve as cantors or chorus members in parishes and communities in the Orthodox Church.

Training is provided in Greek, English and Arabic repertoire by experienced and accredited music teachers and cantors who have been initiated in the art of Byzantine psalmody by recognized masters. Students come from various backgrounds and age groups.
